# Events Intelligence: Plan Campaigns Around Fashion Events

> Browse AI-researched festivals, marketplace sales, and seasonal peaks with dated prep deadlines, then link each event directly to Catalog Planning.

Events Intelligence is an AI-powered calendar of upcoming fashion events relevant to your market. It covers state festivals, marketplace sale windows, seasonal peaks, shopping holidays, and brand launch moments. Events are researched by Gemini using grounded web search — this is not a static pre-loaded list. The data is refreshed on demand and the last research timestamp is shown at the top of the page.

Use the Events page to identify when your catalogs need to be ready, then plan generation schedules backward from each event's prep deadline. Every event that requires catalog work has a direct **Plan catalog** button that opens the New Catalog form pre-filled with the event's creative direction.

## Urgency indicators

Events with a prep deadline within the next 14 days are surfaced in a dedicated **Prep due within two weeks** section above the main calendar. Each event in this section shows its prep status badge:

| Badge                | Meaning                                          |

## Refreshing event data

Planning Managers and Admins see an **Intelligence** toolbar below the filter bar. Use it to keep your roadmap current:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Refresh research">
    Click **Refresh research (Gemini)** to run a new Gemini-powered event research pass. Gemini uses grounded web search to fetch fresh, verified event data for your configured market. The result banner shows how many events were created and updated.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Seed the calendar">
    Click **Seed state & marketplace calendar** to populate dated entries for every Indian state festival and major marketplace sale window for the next 12 months. Run research after seeding to confirm exact dates with grounded sources.
  </Step>
</Steps>

The last research run timestamp — including whether it completed, failed, or is still running — is shown in the page description text.

## Linking to Catalog Planning

Every event has a **Plan catalog** button. Clicking it opens the New Catalog form in Catalog Planning with the following fields pre-filled from the event:

* Campaign season and scene direction
* Mood and creative themes
* Color palette
* Event dates and prep deadline
* Linked event ID for tracking

The new catalog is linked to the event, so you can track which catalog was created for which occasion.

## Adding events manually

Click **Add event** (available to all roles) to create a custom event not covered by automated research. You can specify:

* Event name and type
* Priority (`normal`, `high`, or `urgent`)
* Event date and planning lead days (used to calculate the prep deadline automatically)
* States/region and marketplaces
* A free-text description

The prep deadline is calculated as: event date minus planning lead days. The form previews the deadline date as you type.

## Exporting events

Click **Download Excel** to export the current filtered event list as an Excel workbook (`.xlsx`). The workbook contains two sheets:

* **Planning calendar** — one row per event with all fields, auto-filtered headers, and color-coded priority and prep-status columns
* **Month summary** — one row per month with totals for events, festivals, marketplace sales, urgent events, and the first prep deadline in the window

<Tip>
  You can also email the planning report directly to stakeholders. Click **Email report** (Planning Managers and Admins only) and enter recipient email addresses. The email includes the upcoming events in the current view and attaches the same Excel workbook.
</Tip>

## Viewing event details

Click any event name in the Timeline, Cards, or Table view to open a detail drawer. The drawer shows:

* Full event window, weekday, and countdown
* Prep deadline and planning lead days
* States, marketplaces, and product focus
* Confidence percentage and verification status
* Visual themes, color palette, and styling props
* Research source URLs (up to 6) for events with grounded data

A **Plan catalog for this event** button at the bottom of the drawer links directly to the pre-filled New Catalog form.
